I attended two events of the National Day of Prayer held by my city in Doral, Florida.
I was encouraged, to say the least.
My family lived in Kenya, Africa, for two years and travelled extensively to East Africa, between 2004-2010.
Except for the poverty and the corruption of Kenya, I loved East Africa.
I was more one with the body of Christ there, than in the USA.
The Kenyan Christians are people with purpose.
They are sold out the Lord, for they have little else.
You ask most children what they want to be, and they know. Poverty has caused them to be focused on God, much more than American children.
Spiritual warfare is greater with the kids of America than those of Africa, because of abundance and distraction.
I feel that Kenyans will surpass Americans educationally. Middle and high schools in Kenya have more sober kids wanting to learn, wanting to get ahead.
There is no money for technology or the purchase of drugs, so vision and purpose for God abounds.
The Kenyan church, except for the issue of poverty, is stronger than her American counterpart.
The phenomena of flying into Kenya from Amsterdam or London will let you witness many Kenyans reading their Bibles at the gates and in the airplanes.
God called my family as missionaries from Africa, back to America.
He said that He needed us more here than in Africa.
Our culture shock was not in going to Kenya. We felt comfortable there.
It came in going back to America and seeing the passive state of the church.
Nonetheless, God loves a good crisis.
He is a master at working good out of the most horrifying situations.
What appeared as hopeless to me concerning the body of Christ in the USA, God is now changing.
Though much of the church still sleeps, what I saw yesterday at the National Day of Prayer confirms what I know.
God cannot be stopped. God always has an army remnant.
There is so strong and uncompromising lot of people whom God is raising up in the USA.
We mainly see them in Christian leadership, but they are intensifying and they won’t be messed around with, for they are fearless in their commitment to Jesus.
They are righteous, and will not be purchased by material wealth.
They are holy and not scared to speak about the ills which envelop American society.
God’s way is never for His church to get involved in culture wars. The issue is not a moral issue, but one of two humanities.
A Christian is a new human being. Christ Jesus, the new human species, is eternal, incorruptible, glorified.
Adamic humanity, is broken, dysfunctional, a slave to corruption, blinded.
Culture wars pit these two humanities together. The results are irreconcilable. It’s like an alien, fighting a human.
God’s way is not war, but to allow this new humanity, to shine bright through people, and those who are broken and confused will want the new.
Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is raised upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
America is now fulfilling these very scriptures!
God is the only one who can ordain morality.
The arrogance of many in this country has fooled them into redefining God’s morality.
Man cannot ordain morality, and when he does the results are catastrophic.
Moral relativism is the product of dumping out God’s demarcations for morality, into a morality which is politically correct and will appease everybody.
The consequences are that not only morality becomes relative, but so does truth, in fact, everything.
When there are no absolutes, then there is no unqualified light.
Where there is no light, there is darkness. Where there is no absolute, there is no compass.
The outcome is verse two of Isaiah.
“Darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people.”
Oh, but what a chance now for this strong army of the Lord to shine!
“Arise; shine; for thy light is come,” God is saying!
“Voices in the wilderness of America”, God says, “ Spare not, lift them up, fear not!”
The time is now, to get out of our Christian ghettos and shine for God.
Light shines greatest in utter darkness. Things are comparatively seen best in the realm of opposites.
Darkness shall cover the America and gross darkness the USA, and now is!
Does God wring His hands and command morality crusades?
No!
2 but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Let us be that great light and the many sitting in darkness will see and come to it.
America is becoming ripe for a revival devised in the crucible of utter despair and the gross darkness of moral relativism.
God’s judgment hardly is that lightning bolt from heaven.
Rather, if people crave for moral relativism, God retorts , “ Have at it, dude!”
Someone said that if people want to season their salad with the poop of sin, God willingly accommodates it.
When this poop finally turns into pools of diarrhea where many drown, God hopes that some will cry out for Him, and they do. I did!
This is God’s judgment.
There is an army which God is rising up in America of light bearers of the gospel.
While many in America are eating the poop and savoring its temporary taste God is raising up those who can handle and clean the poop.
